Beautiful little coffee shop on the edge of shifnal. Busy but attentive staff gave me options for my requirements and remembered my order when I went back to the counter. Will definately return!

Super cafe with first class service. Great carrot and lemon drizzle cakes. Will definitely make it a regular stop on our cycle rides. Couldn't get away from the Proprietor though....talked for England!..... Couldn't have been more accommodating!
My friends and I have been going to No.5 regularly for breakfast, normally between 6 and 10 of us with an average spend of about 5 each. The food is normally very good. Today, while there was nothing wrong with the food, the customer service left a rather sour taste. One of my friends, a pensioner (I'm sure she won't mind me saying) queried the price of the toast and marmalade as it said 1.95 on the menu and she was being charged 2.45, this resulted in being told 'that's the price, pay it or don't have it'. My friend paid and came to join us somewhat shell shocked to say the least. I think the owner heard my friend telling us what had happened as she came over, not to apologise, but to slap 50p on the table next to my friend and say that 2.45 is the price, the menu price was wrong but you will be charged 2.45 in future. Of course my friend won't be paying 2.45 in future, or any other price, as No. 5 has lost the custom of all of us. There was no need for the attitude that was taken or for the rudeness of the treatment my friend received. One of us went and spoke to the owner regarding her customer service to be told that No.5 was a 'small business' and so we had to assume from that that 50p really mattered to 'small businesses'. Well I dare say it does, but politeness costs nothing, and for the sake of 50p this small business will lose between 30 and 50 per week. I know everyone can be having a bad day and snap sometimes, we are all human. This person had the chance to redeem the situation and instead made it worse.Nice food, shame about the customer service.
Great cup of coffee, friendly service and a gluten free piece of cake that wasn't a brownie. Good atmosphere for a coffee shop, nice, chatty crowd. Free newspapers available for use in the shop. Great Gf Victoria sponge and lovely selection of cakes and pastries and specials.
