Slightly old fashioned but it a nice way. Great food in both bar and restaurant and room service...... leisure facilities very relaxing. Good value for money, scrambled egg was good at breakfast too..... but only a 7/10 For the full English....
Went here for afternoon tea; not disappointed. Plenty of different filling in the sandwiches and cakes nice. Perhaps a little less dark chocolate next time
How this hotel gets away with only 3 stars eludes me! It is a manor house situated in its own grounds with the spa facilities next to it in a complex that reminds of a Viking long house. The vegetarian food in the tastefully decorated dining room was fantastic, the bar was well stocked with Shropshire ales available in bottles and the service was always great and welcoming. The Manor Room is spacious with a wonderfully firm Super King size bed, a sofa and a 48" flat screen TV with Sky. Never turned the TV on though as the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym paired with the expert massages were all the entertainment needed.Marvelous place!
This hotel is fantastic value for money and offers a wide range of services, the pool and spa is a nice touch.If your having breakfast the sausages are superb. The rooms are a really good size and the hotel country setting is stunning.However the hotel really needs some investment in the decor and furniture also a hair dryer in everyroom should be a must. The one big point that lets the hotel down is the bed, we come to sleep and the beds are hard and the pillows are flat this really made my night a hard one.So in the short term new mattresses and pillows will go a long way to making this hotel brilliant
The spa day was great. We have had 3 now. Massage lovely. Small jacuzzi but heat is good. Steam room is OK. Aqua instructor is brilliant.
