Never visited this pub in it's previous form but what they've done there is top class. A traditional style refurb that's most appealing.Been here a couple of times now, both with mates and my wife and everyone loves it.Certainly be back soon!
This pub has been 'done up' and now it's sits up there as one of the best pubs in shifnal. I really enjoy the selection of Ales from Black Country Brewery and the fresh cobs available also.
It's great to see this place open again, and what a lovely traditional refurb. Some cracking beers as always with Black Country Ales, a nice selection of Ales and always well kept beer. The premises are lovely and clean, as are the facilities. There's a lovely real fire that adds a welcoming warmth and a few original features are retained. The landlord and landlady are friendly and provide nice bar snacks for sale in cobs , pork pies etc. On the whole I really like this pub, and I'm very happy they've kept it so traditional, there is just an unexplained flatness in atmosphere, but that could be clientele rather than the pub.
Newly refurbished. Great atmosphere. Good selection of ales. Just dissapointed that they ran out of Bacardi at Christmas time!
Recently refurbished and excellently done. Still got that old country pub feel with the log fire. Good selection of ales and other drinks
